چکیده

Bacterial cellulose (BC) is a flexible biopolymer having valuable properties like high purity (without hemicellulose and lignin), percentage of crystallinity, water retention, mechanical strength, biodegradability unique biocompatibility. Unlike plant cellulose, bacterial produced by many species. Recent advances in research have identified several producers BC but the key producer Komagataeibacter xylinus. from K. xylinus known to possess captivating structural, physical, chemical properties, hence making it significant natural polymer be used for future innovative purposes. This review paper discusses structural physicochemical BC; its production bacteria as well under optimized culture conditions. Since demand useful composites high, involvement development BC-based has also been discussed detail this paper. highlights diverse applications biomedical, electronics, food, textile pharmaceutical industries. The food industries can lead further super foods next-generation wound dressings. On basis compiled information that available literature, studies should focused on drug delivery mechanisms their performance vivo vitro experiments; help understand meticulous manner.

Understanding virtual world usage: A multipurpose model and empirical testing

This study reports an attempt to enhance our understanding of the reasons behind virtual world usage. By providing a mixture of utilitarian and hedonic value, virtual worlds represent an emerging class of multipurpose information systems (MPIS). Previous research seems to fall short in explaining MPIS adoption, especially since key extrinsic and intrinsic motivators are not considered. Drawing ...

Bacterial Cellulose-Hydroxyapatite Nanocomposites for Bone Regeneration

The aim of this study was to develop and to evaluate the biological properties of bacterial cellulose-hydroxyapatite (BC-HA) nanocomposite membranes for bone regeneration. Nanocomposites were prepared from bacterial cellulose membranes sequentially incubated in solutions of CaCl(2) followed by Na(2)HPO(4). BC-HA membranes were evaluated in noncritical bone defects in rat tibiae at 1, 4, and 16 ...
